What makes Amboseli special to us is that it is a game viewing paradise. . . Guaranteed elephant sightings come alongside other incredible wildlife sightings. Its compact size allows you to see virtually every aspect in about 3 days. In addition, Amboseli offers the best views of the world’s tallest free-standing mountain and Africa’s highest peak, Mt. Kilimanjaro!
Amboseli National Park is situated at the base of Mt. Kilimanjaro, which is the lifeline of the Park, through its melting snow which flows into underground springs that feed the swamps and wetlands that dot the plains. These water sources attract animals of all size, the most sought-after being the free-roaming elephants, but you will also see elands, waterbucks, Grant’s gazelles, warthogs, Coke’s hartebeests, zebras and other grazing herbivores.
The abundance of large prey supports lions, leopards, civets, wildcats and other elusive hunters, as well as jackals, hyenas and other scavengers.
Pick up from Nairobi/Mombasa (6:00/5:00 Am) and Drive to Amboseli national park and get to see Kenya’s townships and the laid back Hakuna Matata Culture.
The park is famous for its herds of elephants, other members of the big five and the famous Africa highest mountain, Mt. kilimanjaro.
You will arrive in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive, staying late to watch the shades of gold Amboseli sun set. Dinner and overnight at Safari Camp/Lodge.
Wake up early to watch the sun rise on Mt. Kilimanjaro like a flower opening and gifting the Amboseli Eco system with life.
After Breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive to noon, returning to your lodge for lunch and relaxation and later an evening game drive.
Observation Hill
On this day you will also visit the observation Hill. This cone-shaped hill is situated in the Western part of the park and it is the only place where you can get out of your vehicle and take a walk. The hill has clear volcanic origin and was formed during Mt. Kilimanjaro activity in the Pleistocene; from up here, the view spans 360 degrees throughout the Park exposing its arid areas, marshes lands, lakes and if the day is clear, the view of Mt. Kilimanjaro to the South, is spectacular.
After Break Fast, you can enjoy a morning game drive or opt to visit the Maasai village.
Visiting the village will allow you to experience the Maasai culture at its best. This experience is very interactive, and we hope you will dance and jump along. Return to Nairobi/Mombasa arriving late in the afternoon
